lets critique ...honestly and positively( or negatively!)...we are not revisiting the earlier posting...most of our reactions are one of one and that too based on the content of the written ...eg
we say ...love the thoughts/poem...why do i like it? what is the linguistic merit? could some of the verse lines be exchanged...could there have been other words used?does this remind me of something else i have read or thought?
lets start this...otherwise this will be a mutual admiration society!!!
Man this is exactly what I had in mind! "mutual admiration society" is extremely apt :D And why I like something and how I respond to it are searching questions that must be asked & attempted to be answered if not answered wholly. Tis the first step to a sound critique.
ReplyDeleteMrs.D - I agree that our aim is hardly a mutual admiration society here but do cut us a lilttle slack here. We love this particular bunch of scribblers and will eventually restrain the effusive praise. I liked the idea of constructive thought and critisism and I am sure from now everyone will make efforts to add to the post rather than merely applaud.
